We have tons of classes, from Basic Stringing to more advanced forays into beading! See our calendar for classes currently being offered and class dates/times.

Signing Up: All classes require advanced sign-up and payment via phone or in person.
Cancellations: Fees on basic classes are refundable if you provide more than 48 hours notice in advance. Class fees are not refundable if cancellations are received less than 48 hours in advance, or for non-attendance. In the event of an emergency situation, we will issue a credit for a future class.
Scheduling: Don’t see a time that suits your needs? Schedule a class with a Beadlush employee for the regular class price. Classes described in green below can be added at almost any time. Just call 704-376-3331 to schedule!

	Kumihimo Bracelet Join Beadlush’s newest instructor Penelope Bakatsias and learn the ancient Japanese art of Kumihimo braiding. Basic wire wrapping skills necessary. This class teaches a spiral 8 strand beaded bracelet on a foam Kumihimo round disc. Student will leave with their own bracelet. Materials for bracelet included in class fee. $60

	Earring Boot Camp Earring Boot Camp - Learn how to make Simple loops,wrapped loops, hang brioletts, and incorporate chain into your designs, all in one fun class!! Class fee is $40 and includes all materials to make 2 complete sets of fabulous earrings.

	Beginner Leather and Crystal Necklace 1 hour Learn the basics of crimping wire and leather in one necklace with infinite possibilities! You will make a necklace that is interchangeable and get all the basic skills to boot. Class fee is $40 and includes all materials. Several color choices available.

	Crystal Swag Earrings 2 hours The mysteries of peyote stitch...solved! Join Beadlush instructor Maura Steele and learn the basics of this key stitch in the world of bead weaving. You’ll create a fabulous pair of earrings and learn a new stitch, to boot! Class is $40 and includes a class kit with all materials. Many colors to choose from. This is a beginner class with no pre-requisite.

	Soldered Pendants Join Beadlush’s guest instructor Annada hypes As she teaches you how to encase images and art in between two pieces of glass to make a pendant all your own. class fee is $45 and includes all materials.

	Sparkle Spiral Bracelet Take your sparkle to the next level with this head turning creation of aluminum wire and Swarovski buttons. Maura will show you how its done! Class fee is $45 and includes all Materials needed. Class will take approximately 2 1/2 hours.

	Right Angle Weave Bracelet Join our newest teacher Elizabeth Hamilton as she shows you the joy of working with Right angle Weave. This is a substantial and beautiful bracelet to get you addicted with! Class fee is $50 and includes all the beads you need!

	Birthstone Swirl Ring Join Jean Champion as she takes you through the steps of creating this wonderful Ring. Use sterling wire to encase a cubic zirconium in the birthstone color of your choice, in a sea of wire curls. Class is $40 and includes all materials. Class will be approximately 2 1/2 hours

	Herringbone Bracelet Join Beadlush’s own Maura Steele as she teaches you the ins and outs of Herringbone weave as you make this stunning bracelet. Class fee is $45 and includes instruction and all materials

	Rivioli Ring Learn how to make a ring out of an undrilled crystal or stone. $40 includes everything but the stone. Bring your own stone up 15mm, or let us help you pick one.

Earring Escapades

We’re sure you have seen all the fun and funky earwires in magazines and on the streets. So where do the designers get them? The secret: they make them! Join Beadlush Vanessa Ross as she shows you how it’s done. You will make three different styles in this class and have tons of fun. Class fee is $40 and includes instruction and all wire. Bring your own beads or show up a little early to purchase beads from our great selection.

	Sparkle Spiral Earrings Join bead artist Maura Steel as she teaches you basic Chain Maille technique and shows you how make your own jump rings. $45 includes all the materials.

	Diamond Flower Bracelet Aaahh...the Diamond Flower Bracelet by Maura! Learn right angle weave and make this great bracelet. The only problem will be that all your friends will want one! Class is 1.5 - 2 hrs. All materials are included.

	Open Knot Ring Join Maura and learn how to make this wonderfully elegant open knot ring out of sterling silver wire. Class fee is $50 and includes all your materials

	Wild Wire Donut Wrap Pendant Join bead artist Jean Champion as she shows you how to construct this fun pendant with sterling silver wire and a glass or stone donut. Class fee is $40 and includes all wire. Bring a donut or let us help you choose one from our selection.

	Crystal Tennis Bracelet Maura will show you how to make this super-sparkly bracelet that’s fast, fun and fabulous. Class fee of $35 includes all materials except crystals. (Bring 36 of your own 4mm Swarovski crystal beads, or let us help you pick them from our wide selection at the store!)

	Roller Coaster Wristlet Take your wrist on a wild ride in Vanessa’s "Roller Coaster Wristlet" class! Class fee of $35 includes instruction and wire. Bring your own beads or let us help you pick some out to purchase from the store before class.

	Dew Drop Bracelet Join Maura and dive into bead weaving with this simple and elegant bracelet. Capture the dew drops and make a splash! Class fee is $35 and includes all materials.

	Ornament Earrings Want to learn how to weave these gorgeous Swarovski crystal, seed bead and sterling silver earrings? Maura will show you how! This is a beginner class so no weaving experience is necessary. Class fee is $40 and includes instruction and all materials.

	Sturdy Burly Chain Maille Bracelet Come and learn how to make this very substantial chain maille box bracelet. Choose between aluminum or copper rings. Class fee is $50 and includes instruction and all materials.

	Peacock Earrings Join Maura as she shows you how to make these fantastic earrings out of wire and embroidery floss. Class fee is $40 and includes all materials. Class is 2 to 3 hours

	Bead and Chain Maille Bracelet Join Jean Champion and learn the art of chain maille to create this stunning interchangable bracelet with endless options. $40 covers instruction as well as jump rings and wire. Bring your own beads, or let us help you choose beads to purchase from our selection.

	Basic Soldering It’s here! the class you have all been waiting for! Join Lisa Beaman as she walks you through the basics of soldering, jump rings, and teaches you how to make head pins. Learn the easiest and most effective way to work with solder and move your jewelry to the next level. All tools and materials are provided in class and will be available for sale after.Class fee is $55.

	Stringing 101 The Basics, all the basics, and nothing but the basics. Learn the ins and outs of basic bead stringing, including design hints, clasp selection, and crimping. $25.00 covers your instruction, wire, and crimps. Pick out your beads and clasp that day, and receive 10% off your entire purchase. What a great time to get your tools! This is a beginner class.

	Right Angle Weave Cuff Join Maura as she teaches you to make this stunning cuff bracelet that you can wear day or night! Class fee is $65 and all instruction and materials are included, even the fabulous sterling silver five-strand slide clasp!

	Wire Sculpture Pendant Join Maura as she shows you how to sculpt wire into a fantastic setting for almost any bead imaginable! Class fee is $50 and includes instruction and all materials.

	Long Knotted Necklace Gain the skills you need to knot pearls and other stones using silk cord. Class fee is $30 and includes instruction, silk cord and sterling finishing materials. Bring your own beads or purchase Beadlush beads when you arrive.

	Wire Workshop Join Jean Champion to learn how to work with wire, making shapes, links and findings to use in all of your designs. Class fee is $75 and includes instruction and all wire. This class lasts three hours.

	Braided Copper Bracelet Braided Copper Bracelet Join Jean Champion as she shows you how to make this classic braclet. Learn the fundementals of braiding and working with wire. Class fee is $90 and some knowledge of wire working is helpful. Class is about 4 hours.

	Not your Momma’s Daisy Chain Join bead artist Maura Steel as she teaches you a fun way to make the elegant daisy chain stitch with her own special flare. But be forewarned: you won’t be able to stop at just one! Co $45 includes instruction and all materials. This class lasts 1.5 - two hours.

	Hammered Horseshoe Bracelet Jean has done it again with a fantastic Hammered Horseshoe Bracelet that is sure to become your favorite! Class fee is $75 and includes your Silver Wire

	Loopy Links Charm bracelet Join Vanessa Close as she shows you how to make a fun and whimsical bracelet using wire and just about any beads you can think of. Class fee is $35 and includes wire and findings.Bring your own beads or arrive a little early and let us help you pick!

	Wire Wrapped Donut Bracelet Join guest instructor Jean Champion as she takes you through the basics of wire wrapping while making this fantastic bracelet featuring a stone donut! Class fee is $50 and includes all materials. This is a beginner class with no pre-requisite.

	Cosmic Chain Link Necklace 2 hours Learn the art of Chain Linking with the fabulous Cosmic Crystal Shape! Several color choices available. Class fee is $50 and includes all materials including Sterling Silver Chain Upgrade to gold Chain for $10. This is a beginner class with no pre-requisite

	Fused Glass (3 - 4 hours) Make wonderfully sparkly pendants and cabochons! Join guest instructor Audra Goetz as she teaches you the basics of working with and fusing Dichroc Glass. Each piece is unique, full of layers, and colors of your choosing. Class fee is $85 and includes all materials.

	Cascading Brick Stitch Earrings Join Beadlush’s newest employee and seed bead artist Maura Steele, as she takes you through the basics of brick stitch and teaches how to make these classic earrings. class fee is $45 and includes all materials.

	Branch Necklace Join Vanessa as she walks you through the technique to create a stunning necklace with just a few beads and some wire. Class fee is $45 and includes base metal wire. Bring a selection of your own beads or arrive a little early and let us help you pick!

Earring Basics (1 hour)

Earrings are fun and easy to make once you have killed a few practice headpins! Join members of the Beadlush Staff as they teach you the basics of making a Wrapped Wire Loop while making a great pair of earrings. Class fee is $35 and includes all the materials you need to leave with your very first pair of earrings featuring Swarovski Crystals! Several color choices available. There is no pre-requisite for this class.

Introduction to Lampworking

Join Charlotte lampwork artist Lisa Beaman as she takes you through the basics of making lampwork beads using Italian soft glass and a torch! Topics covered in the class will include: >Basic safety information and precautions >Overview of tools and equipment >Highlights of Setting up a Home Studio >Color consideration in bead design >How to pull stringers for decoration >Gravity and the basic bead creation >Other shapes and shaping techniques as time permits The beads that you make in class can be kiln-annealed and mailed to you in a few days after the class. Kits including the equipment tools used will be offered at a discounted price, so you can make beads at home. Class fee is $120 which includes all materials needed to make beads in class. This is a beginner class with no pre-requisite.

*Beginning Lampworking Now offering a "Beginning Lampwork" class taught by Charlotte lampwork artist, Lisa Beaman. Using “one of a kind” beads in your jewelry designs will set you apart from the crowd! The Beginning class will include demonstration, instruction and practice. The cost is $100, includes all the equipment, and tools. Please bring your own consumable materials such as glass and gas (also available to purchase). This class will cover shaping and decorating your beads. Techniques will include frit, dots, and color combination. The beads you make in class can be kiln-annealed and mailed to you a few days after the class. Kits including the equipment tools used will be offered at a discounted price, so you can make beads at home. Students are requested to wear cotton fabric clothes; long sleeves, old jeans, closed toe shoes, and tie back long hair. *Perquisite for this class is Introduction to Lampworking or instruction approval. 	Drop Weave Necklace 2- 2 1/2 hours Learn basic double strand Right Angle Weave while making this innovative necklace! Necklace features glass drops as well as Sterling Silver chain and findings. Class fee is $40, and includes all materials.

	Double Rolo Chain Maille Chain Maille anyone? Come learn the basics of chain mallie with our own Maura Steele in this fun class. Class fee is $35 and includes all gun Metal jump rings and lobster claw.

Copper Clay - New!!

Copper clay was introduced at the PMC Conference in July of 2009. In this class, Adrianne McDonald will take you through the basics, helping you make charms, pendants and earrings using various texture tools. All pieces made in class will be fired offsite and returned to the shop for pick up. Class fee $100 and includes instruction, BRONZclay, and any other needed materials.
